But first, a quick history of my hair. My mom says that when I was a baby, I had hair like Izzy, and it stood up all over.
Then, as I grew older, it was long and pretty. Then I tried to perm it just on top, like the cool kids, but the hair dresser did it wrong, and it was permed to my ears, and I looked like a poodle.

Then, in junior high, I would hairspray my bangs so that they stood straight up, like a wall. That was a great look. Oh, and the girl behind me in my classes (due to the alphabet), would call me a lampshade, because my hair was also incredibly frizzy.

So, for awhile, I gave up, and just put it in ponytails. Actually, that's pretty much my fall back whenever I can do it.
While we were in Hawaii, and I was a rich lawyer, I got it permanently straightened, which I loved! And it was still growing out while we were in Arizona, so here's that look.

Then, in January of 2007, I decided to get my hair permed. I don't know why, other than I wanted those cute, big curls that were so cool. My hairdresser told me that it was a curling iron that did that, but I went ahead with it anyways (and YES, I was pregnant when I did this, but in my defense, the test I took RIGHT before I got it done, was negative.)
And so here we are. This is one I took this morning. I showered last night before bed, and fell asleep with my hair wet, and so here we are. I did run my hands through it, but that's about it.

And this is a couple days after I got it cut. When Maria (my hairdresser) styled it, she used a big rolly brush and a hair dryer. I use my hands and the dry desert air. Usually now, since it's always in my face, I pull it back in barrettes, or into, you guessed it, a ponytail. Oh well. Anyways, I love you, Em!
